What is STREAM?

STREAM educates students for their future and makes learning relevant by utilizing real-life scenarios that go well beyond the textbook, collaboration, hands-on projects, and problem-solving.

As a Catholic School, our mission is to educate the whole child; therefore, we have taken the principles of STEM, infused religion across all subjects, and added the arts to provide students the creative thinking skills necessary to communicate and advance in an ever-changing world. From Pre-K through 8th Grade, the teachers at St. Martha Catholic School design units of study that challenge and empower students, creating an environment that encourages problem-solving, collaboration, student-led inquiry, and hands-on projects. A science lab, vegetable garden, prayer garden, open fields, and the Zazarino Center serve as dynamic learning spaces. Our Catholic faith is woven through all subjects and grade levels, promoting a culture of innovation and ethical action. STREAM educates students for their future and makes learning relevant by utilizing real-life scenarios that go well beyond the textbook, collaboration, hands-on projects, and problem-solving. Emphasizing interdisciplinary connections, content is interwoven, multi-layered, and centered around themes that can be explored in all disciplines, which provides a deeper understanding and transfer of knowledge.
