Turkey in Disguise

Some of our younger classes included the traditional "Turkey In Disguise" craft tradition. Kindergarteners' creativity soared with unique creations. As we looked for traditional turkeys on their bulletin we could only find "A Dino-turkey" (made out with seashells,) a "Swamp Turkey", a "Garden Turkey," and even an "Astronaut  Turkey."  In another room, Mrs. Via-Reque's 3rd-grade class had a similar activity. However, the students' work included a writing activity where they had to come up with a plan, list material and a write a letter to their teacher explaining how they would survive Thanksgiving dinner.
